Career Launch provides six weeks of Job Readiness training along with a stipend for all participants. The program has slots for one hundred and fifty (150) young people between the ages of 18 and 24, and criminal justice system involvement is not a barrier to participation. The program starts on July 9, 2018 and is aimed at young people who are not in school or working. After completing the six weeks of job readiness, participants are eligible for additional training or job placement in employment sectors that are high growth and open to individuals who may have a criminal background. We are delighted that this year’s program will be provided by Westside Health Authority, Vision of Restoration, and Brighton Park Neighborhood Council. The application and further information is available at: www.cookcountyil.gov/application/career-launch. If you have any questions about the application process or the program, please contact our office at JACINFO@cookcountil.gov.
