1. My vehicle was recovered stolen. What do I need to retrieve my vehicle?

If your vehicle is towed due to an accident or is a recovered stolen vehicle, you must provide information confirming you are the registered owner of the vehicle. You must have the vehicle registration card, your valid driver’s license and insurance to have your car released from the tow company.

 The owner of the vehicle may obtain the release of the car. All charges and fines must be paid in full before the car is released. In addition the vehicle must have current registration and current state license plates. All persons claiming a vehicle must present a valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance information to have the car released from the tow company.

There is a $25 administrative fee for Markham residents and $50 administrative fee for non-residents. Please be advised that you are responsible for all storage fees associated with the tow company.

2. My vehicle was towed for a Zero Tolerance Violation. What do I need to do?

If your car was towed due to a Markham Zero Tolerance Violation, please confirm the amount specified on the Notification Sheet provided at the time of the tow. The owner of the vehicle may obtain the release of the car. All persons claiming a vehicle must present a valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance information to have the car released from the tow company.

3. How much are Incident/Accident Reports?

Incident Reports are $10 for non-residents and $5 for Markham Residents. All accident reports are $5.

4. Where do I go to file a police report?

You may file a police report in the police department at 16313 Kedzie Parkway, first floor. Inform a 911 Dispatcher that you would file a police report.

5. I received a parking ticket (PA Ticket). Where do I go to pay it?

All parking tickets must be paid at the Cashier's Window in City Hall. To contest any parking tickets, you must attend the Ordinance Court.
